Dr Rhianne Jones’ research examines the intersection of public values and data driven technology. She leads a programme of research at BBC R&D that looks at critical questions arising from the increasing use of data, with a focus on public service media. Her research focuses on data stewardship, AI in the media, and public views of data-driven technology. Rhianne is a founding member of the BBC AI ethics group. She also acts as an advisor to the Partnership on AI, Centre for Digital Citizens, Digital Horizon and the The UKRI Trustworthy Autonomous Systems Hub.
As Industry and Practitioner Engagement Lead for the Digital Good Network, Rhianne leads our work with industry and practitioners.
