We are holding an optional online research team formation sandpit on Tuesday 1 April 2025, 13:00-15:00 (UK time). If you are interested in attending please submit an expression of interest. Please note that the sandpit is optional. You do not need to attend to apply for our funding. Attending the sandpit does not guarantee that you will be part of a bid team or that you will receive funding. As we will be breaking out into small group discussions, the capacity for this session is limited. If you’re already part of a team, and want to join the sandpit to fill gaps in your team, please ensure only one team member applies for the sandpit. If we receive more applications than we have available spaces we will make a selection about who to invite based on the following. We will: prioritise people whose research aligns with the Digital Good Network objectives aim to have a mix of career stages represented aim to have an appropriate mix of disciplines and sectors represented prioritise people who are from disciplines that are underrepresented in current Digital Good Research Fund research teams (psychology, computer science and economics) We will use the information given in your expression of interest to match people into groups for sandpit activities. Yet, children’s voices aren’t heard in discussions about our shared digital future. Through hybrid art workshops with over 250 children, this Digital Good Research Fund project led by Dylan Yamada-Rice worked with children to imagine and shape a possible digital future where technology use is ethical, responsible, and inclusive. Emerging themes relate to surveillance, entertainment, ownership, agency, security, environment, climate change, loss of privacy, and inventiveness.
